MDD is a clinical condition with symptoms like sadness, fatigue, and sleep problems. For insurance to cover TMS, a patient usually must have MDD, confirmed by a score of 20 or higher on a PHQ-9 depression test. This does not apply to dyslexia, so TMS for learning support must be self-paid.
