Cigna currently does not authorize TMS for ADHD. Treatment may be covered under a documented diagnosis of depression.
Anthem covers TMS for depression only. ADHD treatment is not covered, but patients with depression may still qualify.
Blue Cross does not cover TMS for ADHD. Coverage is limited to Major Depressive Disorder, which may apply if you have both conditions.
Although studies support the use of TMS for ADHD, Blue Shield currently only covers TMS for depression. Many ADHD patients with co-occurring depression may still qualify under that diagnosis.
