pTMS is a loosely used term for customized TMS. qpTMS™, exclusive to Brain Wellness Center, is a proprietary protocol that uses qEEG brain mapping to precisely adjust treatment location, frequency, and intensity—ideal for the unique needs of TBI and concussion patients.
While we don’t offer pTMS as a labeled service, the term is sometimes used to mean “personalized TMS.” Our qpTMS™ far exceeds this level of customization and is specially adapted for TBI and concussion cases.
TMS is the general name for transcranial magnetic stimulation. rTMS is the FDA-approved protocol that delivers repetitive magnetic pulses. All our treatments for TBI and concussion fall under the rTMS model.
