MeRT is a brand name, not a unique medical procedure. Both use FDA-approved TMS equipment. The key difference lies in data interpretation. Brain Wellness Center’s qpTMS™ protocol is guided by detailed qEEG brain mapping and proprietary algorithms, offering greater precision—especially important in addiction recovery.
No. Brain Wellness Center does not use MeRT, which is a trademarked interpretation method using standard TMS hardware. We use qpTMS™, which is more advanced, customizable, and clinically flexible.
pTMS refers to loosely defined “personalized” TMS. qpTMS™ (Quantum Phased Targeted Magnetic Stimulation) is Brain Wellness Center’s proprietary method that uses qEEG brain mapping to precisely target the areas impacted by addiction. It’s highly individualized and goes far beyond standard personalization.
Not under that name. “pTMS” is often used generically to mean personalized TMS. Our proprietary qpTMS™ protocol is significantly more advanced and data-driven than what’s commonly labeled as pTMS.
